Job Description

Seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist to support the credit and lending departments by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of credit documentation and processes. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of the bank’s loan portfolio through document tracking, data entry, report generation, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, monitor, and maintain credit files and loan documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Input and update borrower and loan information in core banking and loan servicing systems.
• Track and follow up on required documentation, such as financial statements, insurance certificates, UCC filings, and covenant compliance reports.
• Assist with preparation and distribution of credit-related reports, including exception reports and loan portfolio summaries.
• Support credit officers and lenders by providing administrative support for new and existing credit facilities.
• Coordinate loan closing activities with lenders, legal, and operations teams as needed.
• Maintain electronic and physical credit files in an organized and audit-ready format.
• Assist in audits and examinations by gathering requested documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Bilingual - English & Spanish
• 2+ years of experience in banking, credit operations, or loan documentation support.
• Strong understanding of credit and loan documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with loan servicing systems (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and document management platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
