CES/AWS is looking for a Robot Programmer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Pay Rate: $28-$38/h (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire | Travel Required

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Program robots from leading manufacturers including Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, and Nachi
  • Develop logic through offline programming based on customer specifications
  • Perform commissioning and ensure systems meet industry standards
  • Set up communication protocols (Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profinet) with PLCs and peripheral devices
  • Program accurate robot paths and properly dress robots
  • Configure robotic safety parameters such as DCS, SafeMove, Cubic S, RMU, and Safe IO
  • Debug and verify I/O signals, system functionality, and interference zones
  • Documentation & Best Practices
  • Develop and implement engineering best practices
  • Document robotic procedures, shift notes, and customer-specific requirements
  • Travel locally and internationally to customer facilities for system optimization
  • Train end-users on robotic system operations and troubleshooting
  • Set up robotic systems for various applications including welding, washing, sealing, joining, inspection, vision-guided tasks, and material handling

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 5+ years in robotic programming and automation within manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Education: Completion of a college or university program in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Robotic Studies
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of robot programming, commissioning, communication protocol setup, and safety configuration
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel locally and internationally as project needs arise
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
