Location: Midland, TX (Onsite, 5 days a week) Position: Sr. System AdministratorInceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Sr. System Administrator to join their team! This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, agile organization that has seen significant M&A activity in the past two years. While the company is well-established, it maintains a close-knit, collaborative culture where team members are not siloed and communication is open across departments. This is a new addition to the team, and they’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology, interested in cloud infrastructure, and eager to help shape policy and security across a fully Azure-based environment.
Responsibilities:
Administer and support a Windows-based infrastructure with over 150 servers across multiple remote sites and a core data center.
Implement and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune.
Collaborate with IT leadership and peer teams to plan and execute infrastructure initiatives and upgrades.
Manage data protection strategies, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
Maintain technical documentation and assist with security policies, audits, and compliance requirements.
Support virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Utilize automation tools (e.g., PowerShell or Python) for administration and efficiency improvements.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
10+ years of experience administering Windows environments in enterprise settings.
5+ years of experience in virtualization and backup/recovery technologies.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, SCCM, Intune, and cloud environments like Azure.
Proficiency with scripting and automation tools.
Strong understanding of system architecture, troubleshooting methodologies, and networking fundamentals.
Experience participating in or supporting security audits.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
Experience with SCADA systems or Operational Technology environments.
Familiarity with the Purdue Model and network segmentation practices.
Exposure to Linux environments (even if from personal projects).
Experience with IAM, Azure Virtual Desktop, and other cloud platforms such as AWS.
Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect.
