Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center, particularly in managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving processes, with a strong understanding of e-commerce logistics.

Duties

• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all packages are accurately received and dispatched.
• Utilize warehouse management systems, including AS400 and MRP software, to track inventory levels and order statuses.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers to load and unload goods safely.
• Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain stock levels and assist in inventory reconciliation.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping processes and improve efficiency within the distribution center.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role within a distribution center or e-commerce environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems, particularly AS400 or similar software.
• Proficient in operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately pick, pack, and label packages for shipment.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
