🚀 Join Us as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) , you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of cutting-edge Web and Mobile Applications used across a global financial organization.

You will be responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal/external clients on business goals, tools and strategy.

• Create software design specifications and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.

• Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.

• Create and execute test plans utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results; design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.

• Monitor, triage and troubleshoot application and environment issues in our development and staging environments.

• Resolve configuration, process and environment issues through investigations ranging from seeking information from subject matter experts to use of tools (monitoring, mobile client, REST client, etc.) to sifting through error logs.

• Tenaciously seek and document root cause and remediation steps to avoid issue recurrence.

• Support ecosystem pipeline for its build and deployment, creating automated unit and functional tests and coding some bug fixes and enhancements.

• Present and demo to different teams within the organization including upper management.

• Support and own the end to end software deployment process.

• Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring capabilities for greater environment visibility and resiliency.

• Develop scripts to automate a variety of project tasks, remediation items and validation of various aspects of the environment.

Mandatory Skills Description:

Utilize in-depth experience in Software Development Languages that include Shell, Ansible, and Java or Java Script.

• Experience in mobile, web, and tv platform client automation (ie Pure RN, Appium, Playwright).

• Apply knowledge of Cloud Computing including AWS cloud services such EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS, Dynomo DBs, VPC, Lambda, AMIs, IAM, Load Balancers. Utilize Client/Mobile Development experience including Appium, Selenium, iOS/Android, and TV Platforms(ie Apple TV, Firestick, Roku).

• Clear understanding of design and development patterns, elastic architectures, client/server and database/web interfaces, and technology stacks for video, web, OTT and mobile.

• Clear understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and REST principles.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Apply knowledge of J2EE, Kubernetes, databases (SQL/NoSQL), web applications, SOA/web services, Selenium, scripting and mobile platforms.

• Proficient with AI tools for development (Cursor, GitHub Copilot etc.)
