Neel-Schaffer has an opening for a Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater to join our growing engineering firm. This position has multiple options in Alabama and Tennessee for your home base. In Alabama, the options are our Huntsville Office or our Birmingham (AL) Office. We are also open to the candidate being located within the Montgomery or Auburn/Opelika areas, with an understanding that travel to Birmingham, Huntsville and other markets will be required. In Tennessee, we have offices in Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Chattanooga.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, seeking career growth, and have solid communication and problem-solving skills in a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in water modeling and treatment, along with wastewater treatment. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager – Water/Wastewater will have experience with water main, gravity sewer system, booster station, and sewer lift station design.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama or Tennessee or the ability to obtain within 6 to 12 months, preferred.
• 10 years of experience with technical work and project management in the field of Water/Wastewater or Environmental Engineering.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and conceptualize.
• The ability to produce technical reports and memorandums that are clear, concise, and accurate.
• The ability to communicate effectively during day-to-day interactions with teaming partners, colleagues, and clients.
• Experience with hydraulic computer models such as EPANET, Bentley WaterCAD or Autodesk InfoWater, preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
