Job Description

🏗️ Senior Project Manager (HCAI Specialty) – Commercial General Contractor

📍 Location: Los Angeles, CA

💰 Salary: $150,000–$200,000/year - depending on experience

Overview –

I’m working with a respected Commercial General Contractor based in Los Angeles that’s seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven background in HCAI (Healthcare Construction and Inspection) projects. Must have direct work with GC's.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage the entire project lifecycle — from bidding and estimating through completion. Candidates must have legitimate, hands-on estimating experience and be confident managing that process independently.

If you’re a Senior PM who thrives on ownership, accountability, and delivering complex healthcare and commercial projects, this opportunity is worth exploring.

🧩 Key Responsibilities –

  • Lead all phases of HCAI and commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Prepare detailed budgets, bids, and schedules — managing all estimating efforts directly.
  • Review drawings, specs, and scopes to ensure complete and accurate bids.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and HCAI officials to resolve design and compliance issues.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, project teams, and field personnel.
  • Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

🎯 Required Qualifications –

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of commercial construction experience , including 5+ years as a PM .
  • Demonstrated experience managing HCAI (OSHPD) projects.
  • Strong estimating and bidding experience is mandatory — no exceptions.
  • Proven leadership and budget management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications –

  • Experience with design-build or negotiated GMP contracts.
  • Familiarity with healthcare facility standards and permitting processes.
  • Ability to manage preconstruction for multiple projects concurrently.
  • Local Los Angeles market experience and subcontractor relationships.
