Unlike pharmaceuticals, ingredient innovation in the beauty and wellness industry has remained stagnant for decades. We are deploying patented, proprietary technologies and capabilities, including AI-based molecule discovery and advanced phenotypic databases, to understand the biological mechanisms that drive cellular behavior and develop uniquely efficacious products for beauty and wellness applications. Innovations from the ODDITY LABS will power game-changing products through ODDITY’s current brands, as well as future brands.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Research Associate in Chemistry for ODDITY LABS. In this role, you will:

• Develop and apply analytical methods to characterize solubility and stability for small molecules, peptides, and encapsulated active ingredients.
• Manage compound inventory, including organization of received compounds, accurate preparation of stock solutions, dispensing of aliquots, and communication with LIMS manager.
• Help develop and standardize standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Help manage and coordinate instrumentation and equipment maintenance. This can include both internal maintenance and external third-party procurement.
• Help perform regular calibration and QA/QC checks on HPLC and LC/MS instrumentation.
• Stay apprised of trends across beauty and biotechnology and implement new technologies that may further enhance the capabilities of ODDITY LABS.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for all laboratory personnel. Enforce and support universal precautions and use of personal protective equipment for all laboratory personnel.
• Maintain all laboratory-related documentation, including but not limited to laboratory notebook, experimental records, safety data sheets, regulatory documents, and SOPs.

WHO YOU ARE

• M.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field; exceptional candidates with a B.S. and significant industry experience will also be considered.
• You have extensive experience (2+ years) in analytical development for the personal care, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries. Experience with topical delivery systems is ideal.
• You are able to independently operate, troubleshoot, and maintain HPLC and LC/MS instrumentation. Experience with OpenLab CDS and Empower is ideal.
• You have strong project management and organizational skills, with an ability to create structure in ambiguous situations. You can balance multiple projects at once and know how to prioritize required tasks.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• You are proficient in MS Office software, especially Excel.
• You have a strong attention to detail and are committed to maintaining ODDITY LABS’ high standards and scientific rigor.
• You are willing to learn new skills as needed to help the team be as successful as it can be.
• You are an independent problem solver, consistently thinking out of the box and taking the initiative to take the next step without instruction.
