Our client is currently seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist:

Travel IR Technologist | Interventional Radiology | Start ASAP | Siemens Preferred

Location: Fredericksburg, VA

Schedule: 10-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 7:30 AM–6:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Daily Caseload: ~25 patients ✅ First-time travelers accepted

About the Role

This high-volume IR department is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for an immediate travel assignment. You’ll perform advanced IR and angio procedures using Siemens equipment (preferred), supporting a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic cases. Block scheduling and RTO requests may be considered at manager’s discretion.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IR/Angio procedures including stents, ablations, angiograms, angioplasty, and drainages
• Support biopsies, contrast administration, and LP myelograms
• Operate PACS and Siemens imaging systems
• Work with vascular, genitourinary, and extremity studies
• Maintain compliance with ARRT, BLS, and state licensure

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 1 year of IR clinical experience
• Active state license
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Proficiency in PACS, biopsies, and contrast media administration
• Experience with Siemens equipment preferred

Special Procedures You’ll Perform

• Paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephogram, kyphoplasty
• Abdomen/pelvis, upper/lower extremities
• Genitourinary and vascular studies
• Venous access and LP myelograms
• Device placements and extractions

Additional Details

• On-call required (day off rotates if on call until 7:00 AM)
• Weekend shifts may be required
• No floating to sister facilities
• Locals accepted
• Guaranteed hours subject to billing rules
• Flu vaccination may be required
