Job Description

The Provider Demographic Coordinator is responsible for entering and maintaining provider demographic data in various internal databases, including COPIS, HealthRules, COSMOS/NDB, and Symfact. This role ensures that provider records are accurate and up-to-date to support claims processing and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely and accurate data entry of provider demographic information.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to validate and update provider data.
  • Understanding the upstream and downstream impacts of data changes.
  • Translating provider requests into structured data formats for optimal system integration.
  • Supporting policy and procedure updates and assisting in training new team members.
  • Meeting production and quality standards in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative or data entry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with COPIS or HealthRules databases.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or insurance industries.
  • Familiarity with provider data management or claims systems.
