🚧 Now Hiring: Project Engineer | Blackwood of DC (Washington, D.C.)

Blackwood of DC is seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our growing concrete construction operations. This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to gain hands-on experience in all phases of construction, working alongside experienced Project Managers and field teams.

• Assist with planning and coordination of concrete pours, formwork, and rebar activities
• Review drawings, specs, and contracts to ensure technical accuracy
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and milestone tracking
• Maintain clear communication with clients, supervisors, and stakeholders
• Provide technical support to field teams to ensure quality and compliance
  

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
• 2–4 years of experience in concrete or heavy civil construction
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, field logistics, and scheduling
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and platforms like Procore or Bluebeam
