Design Project Engineer position is available with our client based in Alameda, CA. In this role you will work closely with the engineering and construction teams to develop and maintain the overall schedules of project completion. You will be responsible for building and updating schedules throughout the life of a project, including when scopes of work changes, and provide updates to key stakeholders on project progress.

OB RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide detailed planning and scheduling of projectsf
rom scoping, conceptual design, development, analysis/testing, through final design andc
onstruction.*
Plan and facilitate project milestone design reviews by tracking closure of reviews/commentsa
nd timely completion of milestone deliverables.*
Develop and maintain project design schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones,c
ritical approvals, long lead procurement items, and other critical project deliverables.*
Develop schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations, and while incorporatingr
esource loading.*
Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction terminology, and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks *
Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages.*
Identify strategies or opportunities to accelerate delivery timelines within the schedule.*
Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction terminology, and concepts tod

Prepares and maintains project plans *
Performs administrative tasks such as preparing progress reports and arranging meetings *
Communicates with clients, and tracks project progress

EQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*
Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or a related field.*
3+ years of experience in project management or project engineering, preferably in R&De
nvironments or in managing $2M+ commercial and/or manufacturing projects.*
3+ years of experience in scheduling $2M+ Construction Projects *
2+ years of direct project design scheduling experience required in critical path managementw
ith a demonstrated history of successful schedule compression and mitigation efforts*
Ability to read engineering drawings using Solidworks*
Experienced with project management tools/software (i.e. Smartsheet, MS Project, AutodeskCo
nstruction Cloud), methodologies and frameworks.]]><
