Job Title: Product Development Art Director

Employment Type: W2 Contract, Part-time (20–30 hours per week), may increase in hours

Location: Anoka, MN 55303

Duration: 6 months (may extend)

We are seeking a highly organized and innovative Art Director with experience in product development to provide part-time support. This freelance opportunity is ideal for someone who excels at transforming strategic concepts into tangible, production-ready designs and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

As an integral member of the creative team, you will play a key role in alleviating workload bottlenecks and addressing temporary resource gaps. We’re looking for someone who can seamlessly translate high-level ideas into compelling product concepts, iterate quickly based on feedback, and ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of detail and quality.

Responsibilites:

• Translate broad creative direction into innovative, production-ready product design concepts.
• Create multiple design solutions and iterate efficiently based on stakeholder feedback.
• Prepare final art boards and assets for manufacturing, ensuring precision and quality.
• Provide and receive constructive feedback to refine concepts and drive projects forward.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a supportive and communicative environment.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop with hands-on product design experience.
• Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to generate multiple design concepts rapidly.
• Keen attention to detail across typography, layout, and light illustration work.
• Strong organizational abilities—adept at managing shifting priorities amid ambiguity.
• Experience giving and receiving feedback within collaborative teams.
• Resource management skills are a plus; ability to coordinate or lead freelance artists as needed.
