A private family seeks to hire an experienced and highly discrete Driver, ideally with a former NYPD background, to provide exceptional transportation and safety support. This full-time role operates on a seven-day rotating schedule, ensuring seamless and secure travel for the Principal, their family, and guests. Most driving will occur within New York City and the Hamptons, with flexibility to support travel to other locations as needed. While the Principal's frequent travel may result in periodic downtime, the Driver must maintain a high level of readiness and availability whenever the Principal is in residence. Responsibilities: Safe and Timely Transportation: Drive the Principal, family, and guests to various destinations with the highest levels of professionalism, discretion, and safety. Flexible Availability: Maintain exceptional scheduling flexibility, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and short-notice assignments, adapting to changing needs. Errands and Household Support: Assist with personal errands, logistical tasks, and general household support as needed, handling all matters efficiently and discreetly. Vehicle Maintenance and Readiness: Oversee vehicle care including cleaning, servicing, repairs, insurance, registration, and maintaining detailed service and mileage records. Route and Area Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of Manhattan, the Tri-State area, and the Hamptons to optimize travel routes, avoid delays, and anticipate traffic conditions Qualifications: Professionalism & Communication: Displays excellent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality; communicates clearly with the Principal, family members, and staff in both written and verbal interactions. Experience & Background: Prior service in NYPD strongly preferred; background in private security, military, or luxury household staffing required. Must be committed to a rotating 7-day work schedule and long-term employment. Driving Expertise: Defensive and/or evasive driving certifications preferred. Competent in operating and maintaining luxury vehicles and managing the related administrative requirements. Compliance & Eligibility: Must hold valid U.S. work authorization and a clean U.S. driver's license; must pass extensive background checks and, if required, credit checks; legally employable in the U.S. Attitude & Teamwork: Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented professional who can take direction, support evolving household needs, and perform all essential functions with or without accommodation. Schedule: General schedule is a seven-day rotating weekly schedule with two days off, plus the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and additional hours based on household needs.
