Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced In-Home Chef to join our household in Boca Raton, FL. This role involves preparing daily meals (lunch and dinner) and managing all aspects of grocery shopping and kitchen organization. While the family spends part of the year traveling, the primary residence is in Boca Raton, and local candidates in Boca Raton, FL, are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare daily meals, including lunch and dinner, tailored to the family’s dietary preferences and nutritional needs.
  • Create diverse, healthy, and flavorful menus, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients when possible.
  • Handle grocery shopping, ensuring all necessary ingredients and kitchen supplies are stocked.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Manage food and kitchen supplies inventory, ensuring minimal waste
  • Accommodate special dietary requests and preferences, including any food allergies
  • Prepare meals for family gatherings or special events as needed.
  • Coordinate with other household staff to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and meal services.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a professional chef in a private household or high-end restaurant.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of various cuisines, dietary restrictions, and nutrition.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Discreet, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for grocery shopping.
  • Successful completion of a thorough background check is required.
  • Local candidates in Boca Raton, FL, are strongly preferred.
