Job Description

We are looking for a Practice Manager to start a 4-physician ENT practice. The candidate will work collaboratively with the physicians to achieve practice goals, recommend practice objectives to ensure financial profitability through short- and long-range planning to achieve and maintain growth. The position requires continual evaluation of practice strategies and plans to meet changing national, state, and local needs. Supports and adheres to Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of Practice Manager include:

• Evaluates general and specific business conditions as they relate to operational issues and advises the Physician owners on these matters. Advises and assists in developing organizational objectives and plans for their achievement.

• Implement and monitor operations to maximize patient satisfaction, collection of payments and customer service efforts, including surveillance and management of online profile and business

reputation.

• Within scope of authority, ensures the development of systems (both manual and automated) to properly support practice-wide activities based upon business need. Directs the coordination of hardware and software requirements of existing and future systems.

• Develop and implement a marketing and communication plan including web

site mangement.

• Considers present and planned capacity. In financial terms, considers manpower and practice needs, including facilities and technology.

• Develop and implement a practice budget to achieve organizational objectives. Establish internal controls for cash management. Implement and maintain a process for external financial audits. Monitor revenue cycle management and account receivable management.

• Monitor physician credentialing and licensure requirements. Maintain proper corporate record keeping of strategic decisions.

• Directs the preparation and maintenance of management reports necessary to carry out functions of practice. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and provides to physician owners that accurately illustrate the business status.

• Develop and implement a risk management plan to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage the impact of adverse legal events. Maintain compliance program for federal and state laws and regulations to include OSHA, CLIA, HIPPA any new regulations as a result of the ACA or other legislation.

• Act as a liaison, along with the Clinical Manager, to human resources, payroll, and

benefits service providers.

Requirements for Practice Administrator include:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field preferred

• Must have work experience in healthcare management.

• Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, analyzing situations and taking effective action.

• Working knowledge of computer programs and applications in medical practice. EHR and practice management system a plus. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
