Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Associate I Payroll for a 3-month contract with a client in Little Canada MN 55117 (Onsite).

Title: Associate I Payroll

Location: Little Canada MN 55117 (Onsite)

Duration: 3 months, Contract with possible extension

Pay Rate: $26-28/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Shift: 8 am to 4:30 pm

Interview process: Virtual, then in-person

Job Description:

Prepares the monthly payroll, conducting the necessary processes for payment of the various components of salary, such as vacation pay, overtime, etc. Is also responsible for payment of legal charges and statutory withholdings, such as employee guarantee fund, social security, income tax, labor dues, etc. Makes the calculations of payments related to dismissals.

Skills:

• Previous work with state agencies

• Work on tax notices, work with tax providers, power of attorneys, and 3rd party authorizations

• Has multi-state tax experience

• Microsoft Office Suites (Excel)

• Communication: Clear and effective communication

• Attention to Detail: Ensuring all aspects of the project are thoroughly considered and executed

Education:

High school with at least 2-3 years payroll tax experience
