Job Description

Private Mt. Kisco family seeks an attentive, responsible, and energetic live-out Nanny to provide childcare for four children, ranging in age from 15 months to 9 years old. This is a full-time year-round position and will consist of a five-day workweek, Monday through Friday, roughly 10am to 6pm, with flexibility. The role combines childcare responsibilities with household management (scheduling, errands, and meal prep) and personal assistant duties. The family seeks someone nurturing, communicative, and efficient to contribute to the congenial atmosphere of their home. The candidate must be a confident driver, strong swimmer and comfortable around animals (one small dog).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Childcare

  • Provide care and supervision to the children, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Safely transporting children from school
  • Assisting with homework, providing academic support
  • Offering attentive emotional support and fostering a nurturing environment
  • Organizing and coordinating belongings
  • Maintaining an organized calendar system to track children's activities and schedules
  • Organizing and managing activities, playdates, and transportation to sports events, parties, and other engagements
  • Assisting in the daily care, nurturing, feeding and supervision of children
  • Tidying up and occasional laundry services as it pertains to the children

Household Management

  • Preparing nutritious meals, including dinner and lunch prep
  • Conducting grocery shopping to ensure well-stocked supplies
  • Performing light cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy home environment
  • Coordinating with the housekeeper, including placing orders and running errands
  • Organizing and managing children's schedules and activities
  • Facilitating transportation logistics between homes
  • Maintaining open and clear communication with parents, and be a positive and collaborative team player
  • Maintaining a clean and organized household by performing light housekeeping duties in children's areas and common spaces

Requirements:

• Excellent references required from both current and previous employers

• Minimum 2+ years related experience working as a Nanny with a private family

• Flexibility in scheduling with willingness to work extended hours, overtime, and travel, as needed

• Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well

• Physically agile; able to keep up and swim with active children

• Light healthy and fresh cooking for the children

• Knowledge of general first aid and CPR, strong swimmer

• Valid Driver’s License; clean driving record

• Valid Passport with flexibility to travel with family as needed; both international and domestic, legally able to work in the United States
