Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a motivated and energetic Materials Manager to oversee and optimize material operations, including inbound, outbound, and internal movements. This role offers the chance to contribute to a growing organization renowned for its market presence, innovation, and ability to attract top talent in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct all material movements into, inside, and out of the facility.
  • Develop, train, and continuously improve material management policies and procedures.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators to measure material management effectiveness.
  • Lead daily coordination meetings with managers to achieve material requirements and efficient warehouse space utilization.
  • Develop warehouse plans for raw materials and finished goods storage and manage incoming and outgoing material flows.
  • Collaborate closely with purchasing to ensure timely deliveries and material readiness for production.
  • Supervise an inventory control team of 1-3 personnel.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in materials management or warehouse management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively manage material flow and collaborate with purchasing and facility staff.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with proven implementation capabilities.
  • Ability to handle pressure in customer situations and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Belted in lean principles such as Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, Six Sigma, and 5 Why.
  • Proven experience in change management and development of standard operating procedures.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry best practices in material and warehouse management.
  • Experience in supervising and developing small teams.
