Location: Downtown Houston, TX 77002

Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000

Schedule: Full-time, On-site

Dress Code: Business Professional

Overview

Our client, a well-established and family-first law firm located in Downtown Houston (77002) , is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join their collaborative and supportive team. Key Responsibilities

  • Case and Document Management: Organize and summarize client files, prepare legal correspondence and documents, and ensure all materials are accurate and properly formatted.
  • Administrative Support: Schedule meetings and appointments, manage attorney calendars, and handle communication with clients, couriers, and other legal professionals.
  • Legal Research: Conduct basic legal research on assigned topics using various resources to assist attorneys in case preparation.
  • Billing and Timekeeping: Enter billable hours and maintain accurate records within firm software systems on a daily basis.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant (any area of law—family, corporate, oil & gas, or general practice).
  • Demonstrated stability and tenure in previous roles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Healthcare law experience is a plus, but not required .
  • Experience in corporate law is a plus.
