Laboratory Technician II

The shift can be start time between 7:30 and 9:00, finish between 4:00 and 5:30.

It’s basic coating lab work, making paint and panels/ testing paint and panels to standard methods

Responsibilities:

• Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a coatings laboratory setting.
• Duties usually consist of preparing coated samples, routine physical testing of the coatings, and making color measurements according to standard procedures.
• Assists higher level technicians and chemists in execution of experiments and lab procedures.
• Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests.
• May perform routine and safety checks and preventive maintenance on some lab equipment.
• This is an entry-level position.
• Requires a high school education, but lab technician training or prior experience are preferred.
