Bellisio Foods is hiring a Immigration Specialist to join our growing Human Resources Team. This role will be based out of our new corporate location in Columbus, OH.

The Immigration Specialist will be the primary contact and support to employees who are visa holders, and our external third-party immigration counsel regarding all visa related issues.

This is role does require the selected candidate to be on-site at our Columbus, OH office in Brookhollow 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).

Bellisio Foods, founded in 1990, produces more than 400 products spanning a wide variety of frozen food categories, including single and multi-serve entrees, snacks, and side dishes. We are headquartered in Minneapolis, MN and are a subsidiary of Charoen Pokphand Foods, based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Job Duties

• Review and assist with the completion of immigration-related documents and procedures for various H-1B, F-1, L-1 and TN visa, and green card-related processes.
• Manage employer-based PERM/Green Card process including ads postings and initial screenings.
• Manage I-9 Reverification and expiring work authorization information for employees who are visa holders.
• Partners with outside counsel on immigration cases ensuring successful petitions as well as legal compliance.
• Ensure all paperwork, including applications for immigration and Visas are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Processes tax treaty evaluations and withholding categories for all visa recipients.
• Review immigration procedures and legal status of foreign employees.
• Responsible for compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in immigration processes.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Human Resource Management preferred.
• SHRM certification preferred.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential employee information appropriately.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
• High level of technical proficiency, particularly with Outlook, Excel, Word and ATS/HRM systems.
• Exceptional customer focus, including a bias for fast resolution, experience with vendor relationship is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and organizational abilities with superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced and fluid work environment consistently and positively with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a desire to contribute to the organization's reputation and success.
• Ability and willingness to challenge status-quo in a productive and constructive way.
• Experience with UKG is a plus.

Salary Range

$70,000-$90,000

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.

Bellisio Foods is a 750,000 sq. ft. facility, with 20 production lines. Jackson is a vertically integrated facility with capacity to produce over 2 million entrees per day. The diverse manufacturing platforms include the production of Boston Market, Atkins, Authentic Asia, White Castle, and Quest Brands in addition to the Michelina’s brand. The site also manufactures for many Private Label Customers and other Manufacturers. Jackson is also known for incredibly great Pizza Snacks!!
