About Pangia

Pangia is building the behavioral operating system for the organizations which will be a core intelligence layer that understands why people do what they do, and what to do next.

Today’s organizations are drowning in data but starving for insight. Schools have dashboards, hospitals have CRMs, startups track engagement, yet none of them know the human behind the data. We fix that.

We ingest raw signals (chat logs, PDFs, Zoom calls, CRMs, social media), enrich them with external personality and emotional context, and then push back clear, actionable moves: retention plans, customer nudges, personalized sales strategies, and more. We’re becoming the human behavior API layer for every tool that touches a person.

What You’ll Own

You’ll be our first hire on the API team. This is a true founding engineer role, high ownership, high trust.

You’ll:

• Architect and own the core behavioral API — secure, scalable, and modular
• Design and implement data ingestion pipelines for internal + 3rd-party tools
• Build integrations with systems like Salesforce, Slack, Epic, Intercom, and Anthology
• Work alongside data scientists and behavioral researchers to transform raw inputs into real insight
• Set up infrastructure (Kubernetes, serverless, event queues, etc.) that scales with customer demand
• Optimize for flexibility: our partners range from edtech platforms to recovery centers to AI SaaS tools — Pangia has to work across all of them

You’re Likely a Fit If:

• You’ve built production-level backend systems and APIs from scratch
• You know how to manage data at scale — streaming, batch, unstructured
• You’ve connected to messy or legacy APIs before (and survived)
• You’re opinionated about infra but not dogmatic — you ship
• You want to define the tech stack, not inherit it
• You think in primitives, not features — and you love clean abstraction

Bonus:

• You’ve worked with NLP/ML engineers before (or dabbled yourself)
• You understand or are curious about behavioral science and psychometrics
• You’ve got startup scars and know how to stay calm in the fog
