**Light Industrial/Manufacturing** **FAA Plater** Torrance, CA Posted: 6/6/2025 Job Description Job ID#: 211450 Job Category: Light Industrial/Manufacturing Position Type: Associate - W2 Shift: 1 **PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an FAA Plater, in Torrance, CA.** Pay Rate: $32/hr **Job Description:** Coats ferrous and non-ferrous parts using chemical and electro-chemical plating and treating processes, including: cadmium, copper, temper etch, white layer, anodizing and hard chrome. Determines from blueprint and EOS the process to be used, the amount of treatment desired and surfaces to be masked. Plates various ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Loads and unloads parts. Visually inspects parts prior to unloading, for suitable surface for plating and after plating for coverage and buildup. Checks the functioning of equipment periodically during the process to estimate any additional plating time required. Anodizes, dichromates and chrome pickles parts when volume of electro-plating does not require full time. Masks parts when required. Plates or processes experimental and development parts. Has basic knowledge of environmental regulations. Keeps work area clean. Performs other duties as required. This job requires access to US export-controlled information.
