We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual with previous managerial experience in the grocery industry with a focus on store planning strategies, to join our team as Director of Store Planning.

The director of store planning will be responsible for leading the assortment strategy, space allocation and adjacencies of our product offerings to maximize sales and profitability while enhancing customer experience. Utilizing data and trends and working in alignment with company priorities and mission/vision, the position will work creatively to optimize store sets to meet agreed upon goals and financial objectives.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Collaborate with the sales/buying team to develop effective store layouts that align with company standards and goals
• Serve as a business partner to buyers and others to analyze, plan, and evaluate financial and market data to support and implement profitable merchandising strategies
• Optimize space allocation to meet the company’s goals for each category and store
• Manage the development, maintenance and execution of schematics and floor plans
• Work with cross-functional teams and schematics specialists to roll out schematics updates and resets
• Manage the planning and execution of incremental displays and the display planner
• Develop seasonal merchandise plans with the team in alignment with company priorities
• Understand and live by Company mission, vision, values, guiding principles and house rules

Education/Experience:

• 5+ years of proven experience in schematics/store planning within the grocery retail industry
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Working Environment:

• This position involves travelingto store locations and/or neighbor islands
• Requires ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion to accommodate the business.
• Work is conducted in a hybrid office environment and may require work to be conducted in non-standard workplaces, including stores.
