Job Description

We are excited to bring on our next Director of Operations at CRM Properties. This leader will help us continue our momentum serving tenants and property owners in the greater Indianapolis area.

The Director of Operations oversees the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance and Renovations Department. This includes ensuring the department operates efficiently and delivers high-quality results. The Director is responsible for managing the systems, processes, staff performance, and strategic improvements that drive department-wide success. They will lead the Department of Maintenance & Renovations and their direct reports will include a project manager, head of maintenance, and technicians. This person will report to the COO.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance the overall efficiency of the maintenance and renovation processes.
  • Oversee the creation, implementation and continuous improvement of department policies and procedures.
  • Oversee materials sourcing and pricing including maintaining the company’s standard price list.
  • Manage vendor relationships including acquiring new vendors and exiting underperforming vendors.
  • Address and resolve escalated issues related to maintenance and renovation projects.
  • Lead and manage the performance and development of the team.
  • Maintain adequate staffing and oversee hiring and training of new team members as needed.
  • Track, report and manage department metrics and KPIs.
  • Oversee software systems used by the maintenance and renovations teams.
  • ** Ensure all urgent or high-priority communication and escalated tasks are addressed appropriately.

This position is an in-office role (office in Kokomo) and requires regular in-person presence to effectively carry out its responsibilities.
