About the Role
Vaco is hiring a Paralegal for a fast-growing law firm in downtown Jacksonville. This is a full-time, direct hire position where you will provide essential support to attorneys, managing key responsibilities for cases. Seeking candidates highly skilled on the defense side with strong billing experinece.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fact and background investigations for parties and witnesses.
• Gather and analyze evidence, including documents, photographs, and records.
• Prepare subpoenas, deposition notices, and discovery requests.
• Summarize depositions, medical records, and billing documentation.
• Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits and witness data.
• Prepare trial, mediation, and deposition notebooks.
• E-file legal documents with state and federal courts.
• Manage cases from inception to completion.
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in insurance defense litigation (preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Highly motivated and proactive attitude.
• Strong experience within billing
  

Preferred Experience

• Assisting attorneys in trial, hearing, and deposition preparation.
• Drafting legal documents such as subpoenas and pleadings.
• Meeting case analysis deadlines.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows: 55,000-65,000 . The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
