Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a CNC Programmer for our client in Mountain View. This is a negotiable salary role based on experience of $90K-$135K. 100% on site, Monday-Friday with a flexible starting time.

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with hands-on experience programming 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills. In this role, you will develop new CNC programs for production runs and adapt existing programs for various machines. Programmers are expected to fully utilize machine capabilities-including probing, advanced work-holding, and robotics when available-to maximize efficiency in both high-volume and small-batch production. Effective tool management is critical to achieving this performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and optimize CNC programs using CAM software
• Set up and prove out new programs on multi-axis mills
• Adjust toolpaths, feeds, speeds, and tool selection to improve efficiency
• Utilize machine probing, robots, and work-holding to maximize capacity
• Maintain tool libraries and manage tool life
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to ensure part accuracy
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience programming multi-axis CNC machines in a production environment
• Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam or Fusion 360)
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code
• Experience optimizing toolpaths and reducing cycle times
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with robotic part handling and automated probing systems
• Familiarity with Renishaw probing and tool offset automation
• Background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
