About the Role

Join BIG Language Solutions , a global leader in language services, as a Cantonese Interpreter .

We’re looking for a skilled linguist fluent in Cantonese to support our Customer Support team . You’ll provide live interpretation for U.S. customers, ensuring clear and accurate communication between English-speaking clients and non-English-speaking customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver real-time consecutive or simultaneous interpretation between English and Cantonese during customer calls.
  • Assist U.S.-based customers in resolving inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ensure accuracy and neutrality while interpreting - no omissions or alterations in meaning.
  • Handle all interactions with confidentiality and discretion .
  • Maintain high standards of interpretation , preserving tone, context, and clarity.
  • Collaborate with QA and leadership teams to enhance communication quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Meet call handling, quality, and compliance benchmarks.
  • Stay updated on cultural nuances, terminology, and client-specific guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Fluency in Cantonese and English (spoken and written) .
  • 1–2 years of experience in an international call center serving U.S. clients preferred.
  • Prior interpreting experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent listening, memory, and note-taking abilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment .
  • Knowledge of cultural sensitivities and professional communication etiquette .
  • Experience with interpreting platforms, CRM tools, or call center software is a plus.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Rate: $22-24/hr With Relocation and Benefits.

Anyone willing to relocate will also be considered.

Shifts Available:

Shift 1: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST

Shift 2: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM EST

Shift 3: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM EST
