Job Description
One of our top aerospace clients is looking for Assembly Technicians to support several of their large scale programs. They will be responsible for performing complex and advanced fabrication and assembly of detailed parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies in a manufacturing environment as well as on customer aircraft. This includes adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and nonmetallic composite materials. In addition to assembly, this position will be flexible to perform other aircraft manufacturing duties as required possibly include, but not limited to composite layup, painting, trim and drill, tool movement and working interdepartmentally to ensure product delivery. The level of work performed is moderately advanced to complex requiring crafts level skill and experience in the aerospace industry with an understanding of aircraft mechanics. Candidate must be willing and capable to review production and process documentation, production scheduling and planning and assist in expediting the flow of material, parts, and assemblies. A qualified candidate should be able to multi-task, take initiative and communicate clearly.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate 5 years' related work, Bachelor 2 years' related work, etc.).
- General knowledge of hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, drills, and rivet tools, as well as more specialized equipment like torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and robotic assembly systems.)
- Ability to use precision measurement devices.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Be able to understand and follow written and verbal instruction.
Compensation:
$30.00/hr to $35.00/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
